I stick to the non-prepared stuff there. Seems that the meals in a bag things are poor at best. Some of it that looks good is way over priced.

I don't like the bowls much, to be honest. And then there are those ridiculous rice stir fry things that have so many steps in the instructions, you might as well learn how to cook for real. If microwave food has more than 2 steps on the directions, I'm out.

I always keep a couple of the rice bowls in my freezer. No, they're not great. But I often have 10 minutes to eat and run out the door. If I don't have a rice bowl, it'll probably be something bad for me, or (much worse) nothing at all.

The rice bowls put some vegetables and rice into my belly fast, and they'll sit in the freezer for months.
Second alternative, canned soup. also mediocre in nutrition and quality, but it will also hold for months and prepare in minutes.

Canned soup is a favorite heat and eat meal of mine. My favorite soups are Amy's soups. I wish Trader Joe's sold them. Are there canned soups at all at Trader Joe's?

heck yes there are! They have plenty of canned soups, right near the canned beans, etc.

I'm vegan, so my favorites are the black bean and the split pea, but others are equally good - when I was still eating meat, I loved the chilis and the corn chowder is TO DIE FOR. Yummy!!

I'm vegan, too. That's one reason I like the Amy's soups so much, most of them are vegan and they are really tasty, too.

I'll have to try TJ's black bean and split pea soups. It's wonderful that TJ's makes as many vegan things as they do.
